United Airlines NYC Half Marathon Results:

On Sunday we had a group compete in one of the world’s biggest half marathon races. 27,000 runners toed the line on the streets of NYC in some really favorable weather conditions. Mid 40s at the start and no wind. This group of runners was ready to chase after a fast time, they just needed to be ready for the tough bridges throughout the race. Overall we had a great morning. Four of our runners ran a personal best and the other two ran strong performances as well. Matt Karl from Tampa ran the race of his life with a big 4 minute PR to shatter the 1:20 barrier for the first time! Then we had Andy Vasconcellos from Boca Raton run a huge 12 minute PR to break the 2:00 barrier for the first time. We also had Margaret Janicki competing in her 99th half marathon. Just one more go! This was her 31st time breaking 2:00 for the distance. Five of these runners will now step up in distance this spring and chase after some marathon PR’s. Great job to all who competed!
